Dear Fellow Citizens,

Esteemed Zimbabwean Friends,

I presented my letter of credence to H.E. Mr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, on 24 August 2022 and officially took office as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Zimbabwe. I am especially delighted to undertake this task during the 40^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Zimbabwe.

The main objective of the Embassy, which was inaugurated in 2011, is to represent the Republic of Türkiye and to develop political, economic, commercial and cultural relations between the two countries in line with the Africa Partnership Strategy of Türkiye.

I believe that the level of Turkish-Zimbabwean relations allows the high potential in every field to be revealed on the basis of mutual benefit.

High-level visits and contacts have continued successfully, despite the Covid-19 pandemic. It will continue to be one of our priorities to enhance and diversify our relations at all levels in the upcoming period.

I would like to emphasize that I am ready to fully cooperate with our Zimbabwean partners to further our bilateral relations.

On behalf of myself and the staff of our Embassy, ​​I extend my best wishes to the people of Zimbabwe and reiterate that we will work diligently to support our citizens and our Zimbabwean friends to boost relations with this beautiful and rich country.
