Ambassador Berna Kasnaklı Versteden was born in Ankara in 1973.
She graduated from TED Ankara College in 1991 and Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1995.
She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Türkiye in 1996 as a career diplomat.
Ambassador Kasnaklı Versteden worked in various positions in the Foreign Ministry; including the Directorates General of Personnel and International Organizations.
She served abroad at the Turkish Embassies in Bishkek (1998-2000), Oslo (2000-2003), Rome (NATO Senior Officials Course) (2005-2006), Berlin (2006-2010), and Permanent Mission of the Republic of Türkiye to United Nations Office in Geneva (2012-2017).
Ambassador Kasnaklı Versteden, served as the Deputy Director General of OSCE, Disarmament and Non-proliferation from January 2019 to August 2022.
She was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Zimbabwe with the Decision of the Presidency No: 2022/306, dated June 26, 2022 and has assumed her duty on 15 August 2022.
Ambassador Kasnaklı Versteden is married. She speaks English and intermediate level German.
